Cerebral abscess as a result of pulmonary arteriovenous fistula in a patient with Osler-Weber-Rendu syndrome

ABSTRACT

            We present a case of a 70-year-old male with a history of Osler-Weber-Rendu syndrome, presenting neurological deterioration secondary to cerebral abscess in late capsule phase localized in the left internal capsule derived from a left pulmonary arteriovenous malformation as a finding. Resection of capsule and brain abscess was performed, and the patient was referred to chest surgery for resection of pulmonary arteriovenous malformation.
